Top 5 Summer Breakfasts Ideas

I do not know about you but I am 100% a savory girl. I am not a big fan of sweet breakfasts such as pancakes or waffles, I am also not a big egg person. I know there is not much to choose from when it comes to the typical “breakfast foods” but I am here to share with you my go to breakfast meals for the summer time when I have a bit more time on my hands.

  1. Fruit Smoothie
    • I love my fruit smoothies. If I am being completely honest I do not have a go to recipe. I just add some my favorite fruits (I love using frozen fruit so I do not have to add ice and it does not water down) mainly strawberries, mango, and bananas. Then I add about 1/3 cup yogurt of my choice (I love to use vanilla). Then I add about 1/3 cup of orange juice to my mixture and mix it all up and enjoy.
  2. Classic Avocado Toast
    • I know it is pretty basic but I love the creamy texture of the avocado. I like to put a little bit of crushed red pepper on top for an extra flavor.
  3. Fruit Oatmeal
    • So this one is a little different than the regular oatmeal. I love sneaking in fruits and veggies into my meals. Depending on how much time I have in the morning I will either cook my oatmeal on the stove or in the microwave. I prefer using the stove. Anyways I just use normal Quakers Oats and just any old milk. I bring my milk and cut up fruit of my choice (I love using fresh apples or peaches). Then I add my oats and cook it just like the container tells you to. Sometimes I will have a piece or two of toast with some butter.
  4. Breakfast Tacos
    • Okay so I know I said I am not a huge fan of eggs and that is not a lie. I will eat them however if they are mixed in with some cheese and some sneaky veggies. I normally cut up a potato, onion and really any other veggies I have in my fridge. Then I soften them in a pan with a drizzle of olive oil. Then I take one egg and mix it with about one tablespoon or less of milk (I like the fluffiness it gives the eggs). Mix the eggs in with my veggies in the pan and once it is just about finished I add some cheese on top and let it cook a little bit more. Now I take a tortilla and put my eggs into the tortilla and wrap it up. I place the tortilla in the pan for a minute or until golden brown on the outside (I am a huge fan of the extra crunch).
  5. Monkey Bread
    • I do not have my own recipe for this but I will link it below. I love making money bread with my family. I remember making it with my aunt when I was a kid and I loved cooking and mixing everything together and getting my hands dirty.
